S197 Mustang GT Project
Cars by Kris intends to display an S197 (’05‐’09) Ford Mustang GT as a means to showcase the Concept Design and Previsualization services offered by Cars by Kris, as well as promoting the products and services of our material sponsors. Our goal with this car is to combine classic American styling with cues from high‐end European sports cars, bringing the overall quality and appearance up several notches by upgrading the interior, suspension, and drivetrain. The Mustang will sport a fully custom paint job of Arctic Pearl White, Atomic Orange, and Pearl Black featuring custom airbrushing by Jason Russell of Airhead Customs. The interior will be refinished in black alcantara and black leather. The powertrain will consist of a supercharged 4.6 liter V8 with forged internal, putting out roughly 600 horsepower. Suspension upgrades will include adjustable coilovers, polyurethane bushings, and upgraded sway bars. Plans for the Mustang include a debut at the 2009 SEMA Show in Las Vegas, NV, with a steady show schedule planned throughout the rest of the year and 2010. In addition to being a member of SEMA, we are active in several other show circuits such as HIN, SPOCOM, and Extreme Autofest. We regularly attend monthly car shows throughout Southern California as well, including cruise nights at John Force Race Station. The car will receive a great deal of exposure both in person and in print. Magazine coverage is planned for the car by way of tech/install articles and a full feature article in Mustang Enthusiast magazine. In addition to magazine and show coverage, the Mustang will be featured in the “Projects” section of Cars by Kris.com and on numerous enthusiast websites. |
